Hi, I’m Kim and I’m a “Spooniepreneur”
I have an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto’s as well as degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, anxiety, depression, pre-diabetes and possibly rheumatoid arthritis.
I help women bloggers with chronic illness, autoimmune disease, migraines, depression, and disabilities create a blog and with the goal of producing an income to live a better life.
My other blog that is no longer published, Chronic Chimera, helped women thrive after abuse, chronic illness, and divorce. I started it right before my husband of more than 16 years secretly left me.
He went “hunting” one weekend and that was the last time I saw him. I had nothing and had to beg him to send me money to buy the meds I needed so desperately.
I don’t think I need to tell you about all the previous years of living with a man that can do something like that…you get the picture
Things got pretty scary and if it weren’t for my kids I would have been homeless. I have some pretty amazing kids and grandkids who helped in every possible way.
The funny thing is that my blogging journey began right before my husband left me. I was going to make money blogging and leave HIM.
As you know, it didn’t quite turn out that way
My mom passed away about a month after he left after a long bout with cancer. I had to take depression and anger “detours” and navigate all the stages of working through these life events. It’s been a long road.
During that time, I had to find a way to earn money but couldn’t, physically or mentally, work outside my home. I lost my car during the divorce too.
It was a VERY scary time.
Eventually, I got back to blogging…and became a VA (virtual assistant) for an OBM (online business manager). It was a struggle to get going again but it’s also been nice to be happy, successful and productive.
So here I am fighting my chronic illness symptoms and flares while blogging and providing VA services to women…like you, like me. It’s hard and some days I lose but I have to keep going on the good days.
I don’t know everything there is to know about blogging…
I’m still learning some things too. But my goal is to help you on your journey by sharing what I learn about blogging while creating as many free resources for you that I can.
I want to help you succeed with your blog and create an income that doesn’t make you choose between medicine or food.
Maybe you want to succeed as a blogger and create an income so you don’t have to live on SSI/SSDI (as if it’s a livable amount). Maybe you want to supplement that income.
Whatever your intention, my goal is to help you do that.
You can come here to find the resources you need to keep going.
If you don’t see what you need on the blog all you have to do is contact me and I will try to add it to the queue of resources I’m putting together for you.
Save my blog to your bookmarks and share it with other women so they get the help they need to succeed.
Community NOT competition is an important motto for us Spoonies. We need to share the love and support for each of us fight an uphill battle every single day.
